Danielzapata

Born in Bogota on June 13 1981. At an early age he moved to the US. When he was seven years old, he began to learn the art of Kung Fu, in which he obtained, after eleven years of practice, the title of professional Instructor. Daniel became popular in his hometown by instructing youths in martial arts, he has been teaching for 15 years he is also known for the rehabilitation of people with mental and physical limitations. Since his early age, due to his parents' professions, Daniel was exposed to traveling and to different cultures. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and has a basic knowledge of Mandarin. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and went to graduate school to specialize in Aeronautical Engineering and he graduated in 2010. His mother, a singer herself, strongly influenced Daniel's artistic education. At the age of twelve he started taking guitar lessons and five years later he fulfilled all the requirements vocal technique, dancing skills and all the musical requirements - including knowledge of technology

associated to music recording and production- to begin recording his first bilingual record: TU NOMBRE (YOUR NAME), and although few copies were made, all of them were sold very rapidly. Later Daniel was hired by other artists for producing and directing their projects, he has written and composed over 200 songs, and now co-writes with important people in the music industry and is a composer of BMI. He began recording his second Album: IN MY DREAMS, with 24 songs 12 in English and 12 in Spanish. In this musical project Daniel worked in the Pre-Production with Colombian talents such as Alejandro Vargas, Juan Esteban Duque, David Orion, Camilo Posada, Nicolas Guevara, Richard Wolff and Jairo Jimenez. After finishing the initial phase Daniel traveled to Miami to complete all the musical arrangements. Currently the project was finished and produced  by the 5 Time Grammy Award winning Iker Gastaminza, where musicians such as Lee Levin, Pablo Manavello, Alejandro Garcia and Julio Hernandez have made their outstanding contribution to the songs that are part of IN MYDREAMS. Nowadays Daniel resides in the US, where he completely dedicates his life to music and the practice of Kung Fu and the project IN MY DREAMS will soon be realeased for all who have supported his music, and everyone who would like to listen.
